Devicentrix volunteers mow lawns and tidy yards — at no cost, ever — for seniors and people with disability across Brisbane’s south-west. An overgrown yard isn’t just untidy: it hides trip hazards, attracts snakes and pests, and can bring council fines to the letterbox.
More than a mow.
For a senior on a pension, or a person living with disability, keeping on top of the yard can quietly become impossible. Our volunteers turn up with the mower, the whipper-snipper and a friendly word — and leave behind a yard that’s safe, tidy, and something to be proud of again.
We’re entirely volunteer-run and ACNC-registered, and we hold no private profit motive: every dollar donated and every hour given goes straight back into keeping Brisbane’s south-west a little safer, one yard at a time.

Three ways we pitch in.
Every program is free for eligible locals, delivered by volunteers, and built around dignity first.
Lawn Mowing & Yard Care
Regular mowing, edging and green-waste clean-up for eligible seniors and people with disability across our service area.
In-Home Aid & Assistance
Friendly, respectful help with everyday outdoor tasks, so people can stay safe and independent in their own homes.
Lawn Care Employment Pathways
Hands-on skills and real work experience in lawn and garden care for unemployed people and young people aged 15–25.
You can request help if you are:
- 65 or over and finding the yard hard to manage
- Living with disability — yourself or someone you care for
- Doing it tough financially, or currently unemployed
- Part of a culturally diverse family needing a hand
- A family member, neighbour or carer asking on someone’s behalf
