Practical help, given freely, by neighbours for neighbours
Devicentrix Environmental Services Incorporated was established on 7 December 2017 in Inala, Queensland. We were founded on a simple idea: that people who can't safely mow their own lawn — because of age, disability or hardship — shouldn't have to face an overgrown yard alone.
From that first season of volunteer lawn mowing, we have grown into a small but committed community charity offering practical lawn care, in-home aid and employment pathways across Queensland.
As a small registered charity, every donation, hour and helping hand makes a direct difference to a real person in our community.
Everyone deserves a safe, well-kept home. We help people remain independent and proud of where they live.
We listen, we care, and we show up. Our volunteers treat every household with kindness and respect.
We support people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, including culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
Our help is hands-on: lawns mowed, homes tidied, people supported. Real outcomes, not just words.
Tidy, well-maintained outdoor spaces are safer, healthier and better for our local environment.
We provide skill-building, work experience and volunteering opportunities for youth and unemployed Australians.
Devicentrix Environmental Services is here for Queenslanders who need a hand. Our doors are open to a wide range of people in our community.
Older Australians who can no longer safely mow or maintain their own yards.
Community members living with disability who need practical help around the home.
Families and individuals who cannot afford to pay for professional lawn or home care services.
People from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, including new arrivals and refugees.
Young Queenslanders gaining work experience, life skills and volunteering opportunities with us.
People seeking work experience, references and a supportive pathway back into the workforce.
Volunteer-powered lawn mowing and yard tidy-ups for eligible seniors and people with disability who can't manage on their own.
Personal in-home assistance to support independent living, including light home tasks and friendly check-ins.
Pathways into the workforce through structured volunteering, hands-on skills and references for youth and job seekers.
Linking isolated residents with friendly volunteers — sometimes the conversation matters as much as the mowing.
